BEGINNING
With Erol joining the profession in 2004 and Birol in 2005, we took our first scissors in hand in Istanbul.

MASTERY
Working at an international British hairdressing brand and studying global hair trends, we defined our signature cutting style.
CHAPTER 03
NİŞANTAŞI
As two brothers, we founded our own studio on Valikonağı Caddesi in Nişantaşı and opened our doors to our first guest.
CHAPTER 04
Today, with our team of more than 30 people, we hold our scissors with the same care.
CHAPTER 01 · BEGINNING
In our studio on Valikonağı Caddesi, we leave the judgement of the cut and colouring to that single moment when our guest rises from the chair and touches her hair in the mirror.
Erol Demir began his hair styling career in Istanbul. He spent the early years of the profession in front of salon mirrors, with scissors in hand. During this initial period in Istanbul, he reinforced the fundamentals of hair design through salon practice.
Following this period of work in Istanbul, he began working for an international British hairdressing brand. With the experience he gained there, he travelled from city to city to observe global hair trends firsthand. Throughout these journeys, he examined hair cultures and application methods across different geographies on site.
CHAPTER 03 · NİŞANTAŞI
Following Erol Demir, Birol Demir also entered the same profession.
As two hair stylist brothers who gained professional experience in salons, we founded DMR Hair Studio.
Our third brother, Demirhan Demir, joined our studio in Nişantaşı as a hair stylist. Today, all three of us work side by side in front of the mirrors.
THE DEMIR BROTHERS
The day I began to understand people while styling their hair, everything changed.
In our studio, we divide the hair styling process into three consecutive core steps. In the first step we listen, in the second step we understand, and in the third step we do. Bringing scissors and colour into play at this third step, we complete our specialist work across cutting, colouring, and balayage.
